D&D Puzzle Box by Brian Stone

Video by Brian Stone

In this video, Brian Stone present his Dungeons & Dragons-themed puzzle box. It was designed and built for a friend of his who wanted to throw his D&D players a real-world puzzle that they would encounter during one of their fantasy quests. The puzzle is based on a Master Lock dial padlock and features two different complications that the players must solve from clues given to them by the Dungeon Master.

The puzzle box consists of approximately 36 individually manufactured parts and is made chiefly from red oak, maple, MDF, and plywood milled on my Shapeoko 2 CNC machine. The CAD and CAM work was done with Autodesk Fusion 360.
